Adventures of Eddie Current And His Wired Friends
Meet Eddie Current — the Ambassador of Power.
He’s seen it all: from the tangled jungles of extension cords under grandma’s recliner to shimmering solar fields stretching across the Mojave. Eddie holds no official degrees (three polytechnic campuses blacked out the moment he walked in), but his knowledge of electricity? Positively shocking.
When he’s not demystifying volts and amps for curious minds, you’ll find Eddie cloud-hopping through thunderstorms, crooning power ballads at the Substation Saloon, or wandering the magnetically charged meadows of solar farms and wind turbine fields.
Now, Eddie’s flipping the main breaker and throwing open the gates to the Electric Universe—introducing you to The Real Grid Team of Power, a timeless crew of charged-up characters with tales to tell. Together, they’ll spark your imagination and guide you through high-voltage adventures where fact fuses with fiction and every current carries a story.
Electricity is everywhere—buzzing through your toasters and toothbrushes, lighting up your TVs and TikToks, even humming from the fridge at 3 a.m. It’s a tidy little ghost, invisible but irresistible, powering your life… and occasionally zapping your socks for laughs.
This isn’t your average science book. It’s a wire-crossed, lighthearted journey through the forces that shape our world—and maybe even your mood (especially before coffee).
So grab a plug, flip the switch, and prepare to be shocked, amused, and possibly enlightened.
Eddie’s ready.
Are you?

Tesla to Toasters to Teslas,,, The Theory Of Electricity
A jolt of wit, wisdom, and wattage!
This isn’t your average science book — it’s a high-voltage ride through the strange, shocking, and surprisingly hilarious world of electricity. Packed with real facts, absurd questions, quirky insights, and a boatload of photos, it begins where its predecessor What is Electricity? left off — somewhere between your kitchen toaster and the power-hungry future of EVs.
Spoiler: Tesla didn’t invent the toaster. That honor (dubiously) belongs to Edison. Tesla gave us alternating current; Edison gave us burning toast. Now, we have electric cars named after one and memes roasting the other. Would Edison have asked, “Can a Tesla make toast?” And if you launched it in Ludicrous Mode, would you get flash-toast in 2.8 seconds?
This book unplugs the nonsense, roasts a few sacred cows (including power companies and climate policy), and delivers clear, digestible insights into energy, storage, and how the grid really works. It’s smart. It’s funny. It’s electrifying.

What is Electricity? And where does it go when it leaves the toaster?

A Primer for Electric Circuit Theory #101
I joined the Tennessee Valley Authority just as the electric industry got turned inside out. Deregulation hit like a lightning strike, and TVA—once the proud monopolist of power in the Southeast—was suddenly tossed into the free market with all the grace of a lineman in flip-flops.
For decades, they didn’t have to charm anyone. Now, they had to sell electricity—woo 160+ distributors and industrial customers across seven states before they bolted to shinier, savvier competitors. TVA was panicking. They didn’t have a marketing plan, a marketing team, or even a clue. So, naturally, they hired… me.
I pitched “You need it, We got it.” Clean. Confident. True. Then followed up with “Where else can you go to get it?”—a little cocky, but hey, sometimes cocky keeps the lights on. Management stared like I’d spoken in Morse code. Turns out, selling electricity to people who already had it was going to be harder than expected.

Doors & More… The Magic of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico
When friends start talking about their most recent trip to Mexico, popular destinations like Cabo San Lucas, Mexico City, Guadalajara, Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Cozumel and Tulum come to mind as Mexico’s most popular destinations.
One evening, while having dinner together, friends who travel extensively excitedly told us about a trip they had just taken to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. They raved about the culture, the architecture, the arts, the joyous atmosphere and the food.
My wife surprised me when she said that this city has been on her bucket list for many years too. I was surprised because it was the first time I heard about this. Why, I didn’t even know where San Miguel de Allende was!
Art Imitating Life,,, And Other Observations
A brilliant and chaotic achievement in visual storytelling photography.
Artists and Critics say Life imitates Art, but they have it backwards. Actually, Art imitates Life. This debate has been ongoing for decades. The examples in the following pages will take a whimsical approach to the inspiration for works of art and will try to recreate the feelings that the artist may have felt while they created their art.
This debate has a long history. In 1889, Oscar Wilde stated, “Life imitates Art far more than Art imitates Life.”
More recently, Michelle Gaugy, art gallery owner and art critic has argued the same. I don’t believe that’s so. Let’s take a look at the overall idea of art, the creative work of others, in a new and playful light. This should be fun!
Art can be looked at from many viewpoints. It has the power to inspire people to think, feel and act in many ways. It can express social issues, cultural values and lead to changes in society. It displays human emotions in creative ways. The relationship between art and life is interdependent and dynamic.
I will not attempt to write a scholarly treatise about the works of art that are shown here. I will try to find a more offbeat approach. “Art Imitating Life Imitating Art” is a dynamic and continual experience that is photographically portrayed in this book.
(Although, I must admit, there are times when I look at some abstract “art,” I think the artist must have eaten some bad pizza and had too much wine the night before he came to work!)
Explore San Miguel de Allende, Mexico
Exploring San Miguel should be a must travel for everyone, and it is a fantastic example of Kramer’s mind. It is an idea storage in a classical sense, but it seems to be clogged with a lot of irrelevant information. Cozy up with a glass of tequila and turn on the music.

Where Is My Mind?: The Adventure has just begun
A Flippant View of Art, Life and All The Rest
This book is inspired by many of the great works of art, graffiti and other forms of self-expression I have seen in my travels. I found this image of “Where is my Mind” painted on a wall in Athens, Greece.
Art is all around us. At some point, it was inspired by what an artist saw and felt. It can be a painting on canvas or a scrawl on an alley wall. In either case, for a moment, we have the exciting opportunity to see the world through new eyes.
This book is dedicated to everyone with a rich imagination and eclectic sense of humor. Since each picture is worth a thousand words, I will try to keep my observations to a minimum.
